The magic is there...just have to open your eyes, ears and nose. The multiple vases on my dining room table from that one gallon milk jug are truly amazing. If I only had some unannounced company, boy, would they be impressed!

Miss Effie's Country Flowers and Garden Stuff

When we were children, our parents would go visiting.

Visiting was a social event without pretense.  It was not a dinner party nor was it cocktail hour.  It was simply a time to catch up on the latest news, play a couple of card games, relax in the company of your neighbors. It was dropping in on friends and finding a warm welcome.

We visit here at Miss Effie's.

Relax with your picnic lunch in the corn-zebo or in the shade of the lath house. Bring your knitting and spend sometime under an apple tree.  Or count the tea cups blooming on the tree.  Watch the hankies flutter in the afternoon breeze.

We want Miss Effie's to be like a visit to your grandmother's on a Sunday afternoon.  We hope you enjoy our vintage treasures as much as we enjoy discovering them.

And be sure to visit the Summer Kitchen where other local farm women create magic! From handspun yarn to creative art work and farm-fresh eggs..... the Summer Kitchen is full of local goodness.

We love Miss Effie's and have been going there for years. She is a great lady with a fun place for both young and old alike. Can't wait for another year of flowers and fun...neither can my kids!!

When I came out to the Farm this past fall/winter to purchase a snowman window from the farm I found many other wonderful items I found home made Granola, A scarf wich I have worn all winter long, home made dish clothes, and best yet a summer knitted purse that I will be using this coming summer when I attend the Farmers Market.. The other great part about my visit to Miss Effies was I got to have a nice visit with Kathy, we used to work together and it was nice to get caught up once again ;) I will for sure be back to visit the farm this coming summer ~~~ Since I have seen Kathy we have set a wedding Date... Sept 10th, 2011... I will be out for a visit to gather fresh flowers as well for some other special occasions this coming year~~ It was a Delight to visit the farm, Miss Effie is A VERY energentic woman......;) Ps..... loved seeing you on PSL Again~~
